The field of psychology is a world that I find interesting, so I would like to talk about a woman who was very important to this field. Her name is Brenda Milner, born in 1910 in the United Kingdom, she is considered to be the founder of neuropsychology, where she discovered that memory is a discrete function, independent of others, such as language and attention, and that it is not linked with the global activity of the crust, as it was discussed then (at the time of her), but with specific regions. It also shed light on the independence of memory processes and allowed to test some assumptions that were in debate, for example, the dichotomy of explicit and implicit memory or episodic memory, semantic memory. Wherein in his time to discover all of this, I observe a longtime patient named Henry Gustav Molaison. I find her interesting and I like her because she talks about memory, which is very important to us, it makes us who we are, and she is also a pioneer in a very interesting field.
